The ‘Sarasvati’ Center is an independent, non-governmental, non-partisan, and non-profit organization dedicated to studies of Vedic religion and culture. It is affiliated with the Center for Advanced Social and Cultural Studies of the Belarusian Collegium, which evolved in 1997 as independent non-profit institution with a mission to unite independent scholars, to elevate public awareness of global ethics and other global issues, to train students, and to be a forum for public lectures and contacts with foreign colleagues.
Our objectives:
to
foster studies of the
Vedic religion in the context of the
ancient and modern Indo-European scholarship;
to
study spiritual culture of the
Vedic Superpower (VII – III millineries
B.C.E.), predecessor of the majority of Asian, European and American
civilizations;
to
reevaluate calendrical-astronomical
function, to date more precisely, and to decipher mathematically the central
texts of the Indian religion and ethics, the Vedas;
to
study the content, character and
origin of the Vedic scientific disciplines,
their influence on the Indo-European and Asian cultures and their significance
for the global spiritual unity;
to
elaborate a synergetic model of
global ethics, the spiritual worldview
of the future millinery;
to
publish
ethical works in Russian and English;
to
translate
Valmiki’s Ramayanam and other
important Sanskrit works and indological researchers;
to
inform
Belarusian scholars about most important Sanskrit,
Vedic, Historical and Sociological conferences;
to
teach
European (English, French, German, Italian,
Spanish) and Indian languages (Sanskrit,
Hindi, Bengali, Tamil);
to
read
public lectures in history of Indian
literatures, sciences, culture, philosophy, religion and art;
to
organize
public events dedicated to the important
dates of Indian culture.
